Mr. Hochhaus has twenty years of experience in designing of products for process automation along with the related project and process management. Around ten years of experience in designing safety related products.
After graduating from the University of Applied Sciences of Mannheim, Mr. Hochhaus began working in the field of communication engineering and managed the setup of cellular mobile networks. In 1996, he joined Pepperl+Fuchs GmbH where he became design engineer and project manager for intrinsic safe process automation devices. In 2007 Mr. Hochhaus became responsible project manager for a project to define and introduce a functional safety development process.
In 2015, Mr. Hochhaus joined exida as senior safety engineer. He is involved in both product analysis and design process improvements in the process industry as well as in the machinery industry and in the automotive industry. His primary focus is on the assessment of field devices in the process industry (transmitters and final elements) and in safety analyses support (e.g. FMEDA, FTA) according to ISO 26262 in the automotive industry.
